60 minute intermediate full yoga class to find stillness in headstand
Move from and into presence through a continual process of becoming. An intermediate class with a focus on connection through the core to get you safely up into headstand (Sirsasana). This is a very spacious practice with an emphasis on stillness to help you find that place when you’re upside down and at the edge of your comfort zone. This is a different kind of class that I might usually teach with less flow, less free movement, less dance and more stillness, to transmit presence and anchor into the contents of each moment, and each shape, more fully.
60 minute intermediate yoga class to ground and return to centre.
A strong grounding practice to come back into yourself and your body after an injury, particularly with your upper body. No vinyasas, no weight bearing on the arms. Just lots of juicy twists, core action and a focus on glutes, quads and breath to bring you back to centre, working towards a steady and stable Ardha Chandrasana (Half moon pose). Props: a brick for Half Moon or two bricks if you have tight hamstrings in Uttansana (forward fold) and a blanket for your knees.
