Get Calm, The Human Zoo and Sebastien Tellier

Our mountain hut, at night, looks out from this fortunate rock, through our atmosphere, into the vast ventricles of space and time. So many questions. We listen to Sebastien Tellier’s album, ‘Universe’ which, if you don’t already know already, is gorgeous.  Tellier writes beautifully and sometimes sticks a fag in his nose.

I see you. I am here. The secret to successful communication.

‘Some people possess something very special: they have the now in their heart.”

Thich Nhat Hanh

I’m barefoot on the volcanic path, the jungle fully awake and the morning sky all silly blue, taking the 20 or so paces from home to the studio. Ten minutes early for class and there are a few people sitting quietly in the space. I set myself up and approach them, one at a time, careful not to intrude. I’ve meditated and am deep in the dimension of relationship. It’s the theme for my class and it’s a good one as it keeps me anchored into my big Self. I’ve got my presence on in a big way. And I am here. Ain’t got my head in no other place. I’m not with anyone else doing any other thing, following any other story, making any other plans. I’m here.

Kombucha Podcast with Jarr Kombucha and Laura Thomas PhD

Here at The Mat Movement we have played around with making our own kombucha. It’s such a uniquely flavoursome beast and there are many indicated health benefits. It seems hard to get your head around at first but it’s actually very easy once you’ve had a go. We’d highly recommend you give it a whirl.

Over here in Australia, we can’t seem to get away from it. It’s in every single fridge in every single cafe. It appears to be fuelling the entire state of New South Wales and as far as we can see it seems to be doing a fine job.

Our friend, Laura Thomas – a Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition and a Wellness advocate based in London – helps people sort through the confusing mire of often contrary dietary advice, she helps people sort out their food issues and she helps people feel really REALLY good. Check her out.

She runs a varied nutrition and wellness podcast and in this episode she speaks to Adam and Neil, two of the co-founders of Jarr Kombucha.  If you’ve wondered what all the kombucha fuss is about then this is the podcast to answer your kombucha-related questions.
